Thumbnail Image - Third Image?

Aug 3, 2008 at 7:54 PM
I have the application working well, and have a question on how I can use a third image for the smallest "thumbnail" on the navigator. Having three images will help me create a small "button" a larger reference and the actual image. Is there any way to do this without too much difficulty?

Thanks -

You can add tags to your slides in the Data.xml and then modify getThumbnailImageSource in button.js to return those values but you'd have to switch to the Debug version of Slideshow.js because I believe the code in Button.js is part of the packed Slideshow.js file in Release which means changes you make to it won't show up if you're still referencing Release\Slideshow.js in your HTML file.

For instance you could do something like this in Button.js:

    /// <summary>Retrieves the appropriate thumbnail image for the button.</summary>
    /// <returns>The thumbnail image source.</returns>
    return this.slide.previewimage || this.slide.thumbnail || this.slide.image;

And then in your data.xml you'd add a previewimage="previewimage.jpg" attribute for any slide you wanted a different image for.
