Problem getting started

Hi
I'm new to this website - I've searched for an answer, but can't find it, so hopefully somebody can point me in the right direction.

I've downloaded Slide.Show source 1.1 and the Quickstart guide.
I've put Silverlight.js and SlideShow.js in my working directory.
I've created an htm page as per the instructions.
I get an empty slideshow as expected.
But when I use "new SlideShow.Control(new SlideShow.XmlConfigProvider());" nothing happens.

In my working directory, I have the following:
test.htm
Silverlight.js
Slideshow.js
Configuration.xml
Data.xml

Am I being a bit dense?

Realised the problem eventually...
I am just working with "raw" htm files - I'm editting them with "vim", ie not using Visual Studio or the like.
You need to run the app on a live web server. I copied the files to my wife's website and it works!
Not sure if it will work under Apache (xampp) at home.

I had the same prboblem until run it in a live server...
For people who are begining in this area (like me) it would be a good idea to SPECIFY CLEARLY you have to run on it on a SERVER (After follow step-by-step the getting started guide, I wasted 4 hours testing and nothing hapened... `til I published in the web server). It was SO frustrating...
