<frustrated>still not happening</frustrated>

Hey. Did not find a solution for this on any other threads. Have followed the Quick Start doc to the bit and only get a silver box with no navigation area. Have tried everything I can think of. All files and folders seem to be properly referenced in the same dir. Appreciate any help. Thanks!

Current attempt is:

<html>
<head>
<title>Slide.Show</title>
<script type="text/javascript" src="Silverlight.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="SlideShow.js"></script>
</head>
<body>
<script type="text/javascript">
new SlideShow.Control(new SlideShow.XmlConfigProvider());
</script>
</body>
</html>
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

<configuration width="600" height="400" background="Silver">
<modules>
<module type="SlideViewer" />
<module type="ProgressBar" />
<module type="SlideDescription" />
<module type="NavigationTray">
<option name="thumbnailViewer.left" value="83" />
</module>
</modules>
<transitions>
<transition type="FadeTransition" name="CrossFadeTransition" />
<transition type="WipeTransition" name="WipeRightTransition">
<option name="direction" value="Right" />
</transition>
</transitions>
</configuration>

I've got the same sort of problem. I used the Quickstart and when I had the line

new SlideShow.Control();

I got an empty slideshow. Great I thought. But when I changed it to

new SlideShow.Control(new SlideShow.XmlConfigProvider());

nothing appeared. I've tried "everything" but still can't get it to work. It's very frustrating because the end product looks good and it should be simple.

Hi guys,

In order to assist you further, you will need to provide a little more detail:
- A javascript error, if one has occurred
- Do you have a data.xml file set up? If so, is it properly formed XML?

Aside from that, abstraction's configuration looks good... I'm doubtful it has anything to do with the problem.

Keep me posted,

Had the same issue.  Added a dataProvider section to resolve.
See below:

<

configuration width="900" height="500" background="Silver">
    <
dataProvider type="XmlDataProvider">
        <
option name="url" value="Data.xml" />
    </
dataProvider>
    <
modules>
        <
module type="SlideViewer" />
        <
module type="ProgressBar" />
        <
module type="SlideDescription" />
        <
module type="NavigationTray">
            <
option name="thumbnailViewer.left" value="83" />
        </
module>
    </
modules>
    <
transitions>
        <
transition type="FadeTransition" name="CrossFadeTransition" />
        <
transition type="WipeTransition" name="WipeRightTransition">
            <
option name="direction" value="Right" />
        </
transition>
    </
transitions>
</
configuration>
