Created Issue: Images do not update [8867]

I have a function that update the xml file (DATA) and after i run it the photos do not appear in the slide show even when the xml file is updated.
Only if i close the browser (session) and open again , the photos appear. can someone help me with it?
p.s
I can't clear the session, i need it for somthing else.

I am having problem with FF 3.
It works perfectly fine with IE and Chrome.
Any suggestion?

Silverlight.js needs to be replaced with newer version in order to work with Firefox 3. I attached newer version of Silverlight.js, which works on my website.

I am having the same problem with FF 3.

Created Issue: Video Still Plays during transistion

I'm not really sure if this is a bug or issue, but during the transition, the video starts playing again if an image is displayed after a video. So transition from image to video or video to video seems fine, but once you transition from video to an image, the video starts playing again as the image fades in (at least for CrossFadeTransition) Sometimes it isn't as noticable, but sometimes it is, probably at least .5sec to 1 sec. Maybe I'm just being picky, but it seems to ruin the ease of transition...=(

Hi, I'm still having an issue with FF 3, even with the 1.2 release of Slide.Show/Silverlight.js. Not sure what to do now. I also just updated to Silverlight 2 (RTW). Do I need to do anything to update my site? Thanks!

Silverlight.js needs to be replaced with newer version in order to work with Firefox 3. I attached newer version of Silverlight.js, which works on my website.
Comments: Fixed in the 1.2 release with updated Silverlight.js file.

Hi all, I am testing Vertigo sample, when the title or the descrition in Data.xml only contains numbers, ex. a year: title="2005" I get a java error when click on the albuns icon:
Line: 0
Error: AG_E_RUNTIME_SETVALUE: Text
Is this a bug or am I making some mistake?

It would be useful to maintain extra information related to the album photos in the DATA.XML file. For example, one could want an OriginalFileLocation attribute in a <slide> so one could remember where an image file was originally stored. A sample section is shown here:

Slide.Show currently seems to stop processing an album when it encounters the above. The program could be made to ignore all information that it does not recognize but continue processing the information that it does recognize.

If the extra data isn't being used by another program, couldn't you just comment it out?

Instead of having to insert client-script to create the slideshow, have an ASP.NET Control that can be dropped onto the page that will enable you to select the config and data files.

Created Issue: Specifing image location in XmlDataProvider

In the "Data.xml" file, the file path to image needs to be how to get to the image from the page.

Lets say that in the root of my website, I have the page "Photos.aspx" and the folder "Photos." The folder would contain my config, data, image, and script files. The page would display the control. Now, each slide in "data.xml" would look like this: <slide image="test1.jpg" ... />, but this would display no images in my page. To get the photos to display, I need this: <slide image="Photos/test1.jpg" ... />.

What I suggest is that the path to folders is that from the data.xml file instead of the page.

Slide.Show seems to be broken when using the release version of Firefox 3. For instance, if I go to the 'play with a live sample' demo page over at Vertigo.com, I am greeted with the 'Get Microsoft Silverlight' badge. However when I go to http://www.microsoft.com/silverlight/resources/install.aspx that page tells me that the latest version of Silverlight is already installed. It seems to me that however Slide.Show is detecting Silverlight, it is not working with Firefox 3.

This is a bug in FF3. A new sliverlight.js file was put out by Microsoft to work around the issue.

It would be nice if the navigator were synchronized with the viewer, so that the current slide being shown in the viewer is highlighted in the navigator somehow.

I have downloaded the most recent code and somehow the release version of Slide.Show will no longer work. Everything is fine when you load the scripts using the configuration file via the <scripts> element, however, as soon as you combine all of the scripts and reference the combined SlideShow.js from your page you get an error stating a type can't be loaded.

Add an option for an additional slider/button/popup that will display additional details about an image. Things like date taken, camera settings, tags, etc.

Something along the lines of the "i" icon shown on images hosted on zenfolio would be outstanding:
